Castille has sponsored Finance Malta’s 11th annual con-ference, and its pre-conference networking event for the second consecutive year.

This event is a prestigious one for Finance Malta, offering excellent networking opportunities and allowing discussions between peers to keep up to date with current and ongoing affairs within the financial services both locally and internationally.

This conference is a national event where lawyers, accountants, compliance officers, risk managers and senior finance executives meet to discuss with other professionals involved in the financial services industry in Malta.

This year’s business and finance conference was entitled ‘Finance without frontiers’ and featured local and international experts who addressed delegates on current topics within the finance industry, as well as the trending topics of business start-ups, GDPR, cyber security, MiFiD II & MiFiR, Bitcoin, Blockchain and Initial Coin Offering, among some others. Finance Malta chairman Kenneth Farrugia went on to address the need of offering tailored educational programmes and introducing efficient and practical procedures when recruiting foreign nationals to the workforce.

He also explained the importance of the industry collaborating with the banking sector and the MFSA to make certain that the financial sector maintains a steady growth and offers consistent high-end services.

Discussions relevant to career and company growth and the development and recruitment of talent were brought up

On the eve of the conference held at the Hilton Malta, Castille organised the networking event, which welcomed all event-goers with complimentary drinks. Upon arrival, attendees were helped to collect their name and company tags sponsored by Castille, to the tuneful background sound of a live band and within a pleasant ambience.

Attendees were served free-flowing drinks and exquisite food throughout the evening, which saw everybody exchanging insights and opinions.

Discussions relevant to career and company growth and the development and recruitment of talent were brought up. Castille’s brand manager Christian Xuereb also met a few participants who had the opportunity to give their opinions on the strengths and potential challenges of the Maltese financial jurisdiction.

Attendees took the opportunity to not only strengthen the bonds of current relationships but also initiate new ones and take the chance to lay the foundations for potential collaborations.

The shaking of hands and taking of photographs enhanced the experience of the evening, as individuals steadily gained networking confidence and enjoyed the enthusiastic feeling.
