Calamatta Cuschieri Funds SICAV plc has launched its latest fund, the Malta Income Fund.
The fund is the first of its kind to be managed by a UCITS investment manager based in Malta. It is also classified as a prescribed fund for Maltese income tax purposes; therefore, tax on income earned by the fund is charged at fund level and no tax is payable by investors receiving the income.
The objective of the fund is to maximise the total level of return for investors through investing in Malta Government Bonds as well as corporate bonds and equities listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
Investors have the option of accumulator or distributor share class, both of which are denominated in euros.
“Calamatta Cuschieri is committed to continue providing investors with a wide range of funds, enabling investors to diversify their investment portfolios according to their risk appetite, and expected return objectives,” a company statement said.
Calamatta Cuschieri Funds SICAV plc is a Malta based and regulated Retail Collective Investment Scheme, currently with €95 million in assets under management across six distinct sub-funds.
The fund operates as a UCITS scheme, which has become the gold standard for EU investment funds for retail investors.
