Simon De Cesare has been appointed new president of the Malta Business Bureau (MBB), succeeding David Zahra, who has now been appointed MBB vice-president.
“We have a strong political year ahead of us, with the Juncker Commission mandate coming to an end, the UK leaving the EU in March 2019, and the European Parliament elections in May 2019, to name but a few. With all that is going, I can assure the MBB’s commitment to continue being of service to the Maltese business community,” he said
Mr De Cesare earned an MBA in strategy development and marketing from Claremont Graduate University, Peter Drucker School of Management, Los Angeles. Back in 2000, he joined the Eden Leisure Group as a Business Administration Manager. After assuming several roles throughout the organisation, in 2018, he became chief executive officer of the Eden Leisure Group.
Directors Mario Spiteri and Reginald Fava have relinquished their posts, with the new board , now made up of Mr De Cesare, Dr Zahra, Malcolm Jones, Charles A. Zahra, Frank V. Farrugia, and Patrick Cachia.
The Malta Business Bureau is the EU-business advisory office for the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, and the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association.
