Russia has test-launched four Bulava ballistic missiles from a submarine in the White Sea.

The submarine Yuri Dolgoruky, which was submerged, fired the ballistic missiles at a testing area on the Kamchatka peninsula.

It was the first time that this number of missiles were launched simultaneously from under water.

Russia-made Bulava missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads were first test-launched in June last year.

The Yuri Dolgoruky carries 16 Bulava missiles and torpedo weapons.
