A magic festival is taking place along Strait Street this weekend.

Fejn Sparixxiet Strada Stretta will feature magicians Vanni Pulé, Alfred Mifsud, Daniel Raven, Gwilym Bugeja, Ivan Mallia, Kim Woods, Lorenzo and Rita and Noel D’Amato.

It will also introduce British performer Karl the Magician (also known as Bill Shweda). He is a former president of the Coventry Magic Circle and has performed across the UK in various counties during banquets, theatre shows, as well as children’s shows. A very active member of the local branch of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, he now resides in Malta.

The event forms part of the Strada Stretta Concept which, under the artistic direction of Valletta-born academic Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci, is tasked with organising engaging quality cultural events to facilitate cultural regeneration within the area by the Valletta 2018 Foundation.

Events are diverse in nature and include artistic exhibitions, theatre productions, seminars, symposiums, talks, street theatre, jamming sessions, and networking sessions with artists.

Fejn Sparixxiet Strada Stretta is taking place on Friday and Saturday at 8.30pm along Strait Street, Valletta. Attendance is free. For more details, look up the event’s Facebook page.
