Charles & Ron celebrated the arrival of their spring/summer 2018 With Love xx collection at their Valletta flagship store, where guests were served Bellenda prosecco and received surprise beauty gifts from Inglot.

The starting point of this collection – first shown on the catwalk during New York and LA Fashion Weeks – was a set of Charles’ childhood photographs and memories of Maltese summer days by the beach – turquoise seas, pink ice cream, striped umbrellas and vintage picnic coolers.

“This is all slightly nostalgic but with a picture-perfect postcard there is hope for the future,” says Charles. “To look to the future, you need to know where you’re coming from.”

Charles and Ron have included the coat of arms of several Maltese towns into this season’s graphic print designs. The Charles & Ron Coat of Arms also makes its debut in this collection.

The colour palette for this season was inspired by the primary colours found in the coat of arms and also features Blue Lagoon turquoise, ice-cream pink and denim blue. These are highlighted with black and white.
