Valletta-based artist Madeleine Gera will be exhibiting a selection of recent oil paintings depicting the capital city.

In Valletta and Other Strokes of the Brush, Gera uses the local cityscape and surrounding harbour area to explore the idea of light under varying conditions.  Her paintings read as a personal diary of activities that occur throughout the year.

Full of a vibrancy and richness of colour, Gera interprets subtle changes that occur when painting en plein air and tells the story of a city undergoing change.

The exhibition will be open to the public today at 10am and run until June 1, at the Malta Postal Museum in Valletta. For more information call 25961750 or send an e-mail to info@maltapostalmuseum.com.
