I would really like to bring to the attention of as many people as possible the daily inconvenience, noise, etc our once quiet residential area in the Village, San Ġwann, is going through daily due to an English school (GSE School of English) and the school’s lodging located on the same street.

In the morning till late afternoon, the road is packed with the teachers’ cars and the students are out shouting till late at night. I have tried to speak to the owner of the school many times but I’m sure he’s getting too much money in his pocket to care about the people who paid good money to live here. During my last discussion with him, I was told I should have known what I was getting into when buying my property because they were here. And that they were here before us... So, I guess they think it gives them the right to do whatever they please, even if they don’t live here.

I’m sure this happens all around the country and even though English schools surely help the Maltese economy, it is not right for the residents to suffer daily because of them. We have come to the point where we are considering moving house because of them.
