A local government in Estonia has narrowly approved using a flag with an image of a cannabis leaf as its symbol after a online poll overwhelmingly voted for it.

The town's name - Kanepi- is derived from the Estonian word for marijuana.

Although fewer than 5,000 people live in this town and region, 12,000 voted in favour of the cannabis symbol in an online poll.
