What cheek!

Martin Scicluna, upper class standard bearer of the Labour Party, writing in this newspaper on May 9, had the cheek to attempt to discredit participants at civil society activities by describing them as “educated privately or at the best Church schools”.

This false show of class hatred would be understandable had he attended a government school sharing a pair of shoes with his brother or sister because his deprived parents could not afford to give him a private education. But Scicluna attended probably the highest fee-paying public boarding school in Malta, based on the British public school model, no less. And, to boot, he is one of the most la-di-da individuals I know and, shamefully, cannot even speak his own native language.

How’s that for credibility? One TV can ride Scicluna’s decrepit bandwagon and quote him till Kingdom come. How sad!
