The Malta Communications Authority and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing have jointly launched ‘Ċavetta Diġitali’ - a course aimed at enabling persons who are 55 years and over to learn the basics of internet use.

The course consists of four sessions of two hours each and will be offered free of charge. The training sessions will held in day centres for the elderly and will be delivered in Maltese by professional tutors.

Classes will be kept relatively small (maximum of 12 persons) to permit individual attention, and a tablet will be provided to each participant during the session.

Participants, who have their own tablet and wish to get it along to use for the session can do so as well.

Interested individuals may apply by calling on 2590 3173 or by completing an online application. Applications remain open until June 15, 2018 and places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
