BAJADA. On May 12, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, BRIAN, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Cecilia, his dear son Claude and his wife Szilvia, his treasured grandson Benedek, his brother Raymond and his wife Antoinette, his sister Nadine, his in-laws Joseph Galea and his wife Yvonne, Marika, wife of Charles Attard, Paula, wife of Sandro Miceli, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Tuesday, May 15, at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. A very special thanks to Hospice Malta, Balzan, to the doctors, nurses, carers and staff at Mater Dei, Karin Grech and Sir Anthony Mamo hospitals. BONELLO. On May 13 at St Vincent de Paul residence, EVELYN, of Siġġiewi, aged 89, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sister Marianne and her husband Joseph, her brother Edwin, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16, at 8.30am at Mosta parish church, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Special thanks to the staff at RB2, St Vincent de Paul residence, for the exceptional care given to her.

CARUANA. On May 13, at her home, PAULA, née Xuereb, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her devoted husband George, her children Marie Grech, Marthese and her husband Martin Cutajar, Ivan and his wife Maria, Tania and her husband Mario Rosso, her much loved grandchildren Christopher, Caroline, Lara, Ylenia, Luke, Nicola and Matthew, their respective partners and her precious great-grandsons Kurt, Ethan and Julian, relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Gozo General Hospital today, Tuesday, May 15, for St Mary’s Cathedral, Victoria, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 5.30pm, followed by interment at Victoria cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal peace.

FARRUGIA. On May 5, at his residence in St Julian’s, ROBERT, aged 56. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his brothers and sisters Josie and his wife Anna, Maria, Louise, Tonio and his wife Marion, Paul and his wife Mariella, his beloved nephews and niece Andrew, Paul, Matthew, Luke, Christian, Gabriel, Julia and David, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Balluta, St Julian’s, on Thursday, May 17, at 2pm. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Parkinsons Disease Association would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PACE. On May 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN GEORGE of St Venera, aged 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Christa, his children Jan Willem, Liza and Kim, his mother Gesualda, his sisters Liliana and Alda, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16, at 8am for Our Lady of the Annunciation (Marija Annunzjata) parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Balzan cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

THAKE. On May 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES, of Senglea, residing in Fleur-de-Lys, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving daughter Maryanne, who took care of him so devotedly, his sons Martin, Peter and Mavonia, Stephen and Deborah, John and Josanne, and David and Agnieska, his grandchildren Robert, Paula, Michael, Matthew, Christine, Steffi, Rachel, Max, Alex, Harry, Sophie and Nicole, his sisters-in-law Gladys, Lilian and Marionne, Heidi, widow of Wilfred, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, May 16, at 1.20pm for the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, limits of Naxxar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm. No flowers by request but a donation to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. The family regret that they will not be able to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

TONNA. On May 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY ANNE, of Kappara, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Lucy Anne and her partner Manuel, her nephew Ben, her sister Lilian, her brother Arthur and his wife Maria, her other sister Matilde and her husband Paul, their families, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Thursday, May 17 at 2pm at San Ġwann parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. A very special thanks to all the staff at Karen Grech Hospital and all the dedicated staff at ITU, Mater Dei Hospital.
