The Stella Maris College Astronomy Society and the Jesuits in Malta will be holding a talk about planetary science tomorrow.

Brother Guy Consolmagno, who is both a Jesuit brother and a planetary scientist at the Vatican Observatory (pictured), splits his time between the meteorite collection in Rome and the Vatican telescope in Arizona.

He will be speaking about the global and adventurous nature of his work, as well as reflecting on the larger context and common experiences as a scientist. The talk will also discuss his beliefs in the need for science and religion to work alongside one another rather than as competing ideologies.

This event is taking place tomorrow at 6pm in the Pope John Paul II hall at Stella Maris College in Gżira.
