Established and award-winning singers Andriana Yordanova (soprano) and Sipan Olap (tenor) will perform love songs and arias in a lunchtime concert at St Augustine church, Valletta, tomorrow.

The programme includes delightful love songs from various periods of time, ranging from the Renaissance to the opera tradition and to modern times.

The repertoire includes Giordani’s Caro mio ben, Monteverdi’s Addio Roma, Carissini’s Vittoria, Vittoria, Rossini’s S’allontanano alfine!, Schubert’s Ständchen, Gounoud’s air from the opera Faust, Ecco respiro appena, an excerpt from the opera Adriana Lecouvreur, Delibes’s Les Filles de Cadiz and the well-loved Italian song Parlami D’Amore, Mariu.

After the concert, patrons will be able to visit the monastery for free. 

The concert will be held at St Augustine church, Old Bakery Street, Valletta, tomorrow at noon. Proceeds are in aid of the monastery’s restoration. Tickets will be on sale from the venue half an hour before the concert begins. For details, call 7968 0952.
