MDB Group (MeDirect), a pan-European entity with banks in Malta and Belgium has appointed Michael Curtis as chief investment officer.
Mr Curtis will be responsible for leading the core credit activities of the bank, while developing new and adjacent business lines to enhance the strategic development of the Group. He joins MeDirect’s team in London.
CEO Mark Watson said: “Michael has excellent credentials and a very strong track record; he will contribute greatly to strengthening and growing MeDirect’s footprint.”
Prior to joining MeDirect, Mr Curtis was portfolio manager and managing director at the Credit Fund Management Group at ICG.
New aircraft maintenance facility
Bravo Aircraft Technical Services Limited (BATS) has launched its new facility at Malta International Airport in addition to its administrative headquarters in Gżira.
The company recently secured EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part 145 approval, the European standard for the approval of aircraft and its components registered in EU Member States by Transport Malta’s Civil Aviation Directorate.
BATS is a new addition to the already established aviation cluster in Malta providing services that complement the existing maintenance companies such as Lufthansa Technik, SR Technics, MCM, Medavia and Air Malta.
