The Manoel Theatre is next week presenting a new and daring production of American playwright Arthur Miller’s timeless classic The Crucible.

Regarded as a central work in the canon of American drama, it is a dramatised and partially fictionalised story of the Salem witch trials that took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during 1692-1993.

The production features a cast of 25 actors spanning three generations ranging from well-known theatre veterans to leading names and young talent.

The play is directed by Sean Buhagiar.

The Crucible will be staged at the Manoel Theatre, 115, Old Theatre Street, Valletta, from May 16 to 20 at 8pm. For bookings, call 2124 6389 or visit www.teatrumanoel.com.mt.
