I am at a loss as to why car owners continue to empty their ashtrays onto the kerbside.

Tourists Street in Buġibba is an utter disgrace with broken uneven pavements, never maintained, making it difficult to walk with tables and chairs all over the place. It is quite hazardous especially for disabled people. I often find myself walking in the road.

Where are the street cleaners? To date I haven’t seen any.

Surely it is the responsibility of the local council to clean up the area.

It hasn’t changed in the 29 years since I purchased a property close by; in fact it  got worse.

I cannot understand how shopkeepers and restaurant owners fail to see the litter outside their property. Where is their pride?

Tourists Street: not a very welcoming sight for tourists from all over the world. It embarrasses me when I hear such derogatory remarks and makes me ashamed of my Maltese heritage.
