Opposition leader Adrian Delia visited the Farsons complex in Mrieħel on Wednesday in a visit which coincided with the brewery's 90th anniversary.

He was shown around by group chairman Louis Farrugia, who explained that over the past decade, Farsons invested just over €100 million in new facilities to ensure that it remained competitive and to grow its business in Malta and other markets.

Farsons employs 800 people, and Mr Farrugia said the company had always endeavoured to implement good human resources practices and ongoing training and re-skilling programmes.
