How does breakfast at Għar Dalam sound?

If it sounds like something up your street, you can get down to it on Sunday.

Heritage Malta is serving breakfast at 8am in the scenic outside space of the museum. A guided tour of the several archaeological, historical and natural features in the area will follow.

Għar Dalam site consists of a cave which forms part of the Natura 2000 network due to a small population of the endemic cave woodlice, a Victorian style exhibition and a didactic display. Alien vegetation at the site is currently being replaced with indigenous plants and trees.

During the tour, participants will also have the opportunity to visit the ta’ Kaċċatura underground cistern and the foundation of a Roman villa, and Casa Ippolito, a derelict 17th century farmhouse in Wied Ħas-Saptan.

Participants should wear comfortable shoes as the tour involves a considerable amount of walking.

The number of tickets available is limited and bookings are on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets cost €15 for adults, €13 for seniors and students, €11 for Heritage Malta members and €10 for children. They are available from all Heritage Malta museums and sites and online from the agency’s website.
