Watercolour paintings by 150 students from Grade 6 to Form 3 from four schools in Malta and Gozo are being exhibited at an art exhibition as part of the project ‘Imagine Water, Catch the Drop’, at Spot A and B, St James Cavalier, Valletta, until Sunday.

The paintings were created in collaboration with French artist Sébastien Cailleux and Maltese artist Luca Cauchi, who worked with the four during three scholastic years between 2015 and 2018.

The project forms part of the nationwide ‘HSBC Water Programme – Catch the Drop’ campaign, which is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of water to the Maltese islands and the wider Mediterranean area through a creative process involving artists, teachers and students.

The exhibition is open until Sunday. It may be viewed at St James Cavalier’s Spot A and B from today to Friday between 9am and 9pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 9pm. From August 3 to 26 the exhibition will be hosted by the Cittadella Cultural Centre, Victoria.
