The shape of the Atlantic Ocean’s seafloor wedged between the Americas, Europe and Africa. The red box shows the location of PI-LAB (Passive Imaging of the Lithosphere and Asthenosphere Boundary), which is an experiment using state-of-the-art equipment to find out the shape of the ocean bottom and our earth. The equipment measured seafloor earthquakes for a year.
