Colours in Culture is a solo exhibition by Joanne Mizzi, a self-taught visual artist from Valletta.

This collection of works offers a colourful reimagining of Maltese architectural heritage that is often taken for granted or has been lost through time.

While nostalgia permeates these works through the brushstrokes of acrylics and sweeps of inks, each image exudes the hope that not all is lost.

These 50 beautiful illustrations reimagine the soul of the people, the history, the life within each and every building depicted. But the artist ponders on the future of this heritage.

Mizzi’s third solo exhibition will be open to the public until May 30 at The Fortress Builders Fortifications Interpretation Centre in Valletta. Entrance is free and the exhibition is closed on Sundays.
