New Zealand's plan to save the species

New Zealand, isolated in the Pacific Ocean, is an evolutionary laboratory with unique indigenous species. Once common, flightless birds such as the Kiwi are now critically endangered due to the introduction of European predators. Today the authorities have ambitious plans to increase their numbers.
