The former Holiday Inn, at Tignè has been left in a decrepit and sorry state, uglifying the surrounding areas.
Rubble and loose stone slabs have been left lying inside the hoarding and litter has accumulated outside the hoarding. The rooms that were burnt from the inside have been left charred, with pieces of loose cloth covering the balcony entrances.
Many families who live in the vicinity have to face this mess every time they look out of their balconies. The developer who purchased the property should take the initiative himself or be asked by the authorities to give the site a thorough clean-up and to remove all the loose stones.
The Sliema local council should also ensure that rubble and litter on the outside of the property be cleaned up regularly.
