The Valletta International Visual Arts Festival included the project Imagine Water, Catch the Drop, as part of the nationwide HSBC Water Programme – Catch the Drop campaign. The campaign is aimed at engaging artists, teachers and students in a long-term creative process that raises awareness on the importance of water to the Maltese islands and the wider Mediterranean area.

Through the project, French artist Sébastien Cailleux and Maltese artist Luca Cauchi worked with four schools in Malta and Gozo spread across three scholastic years, starting from 2015. To fit the concept of water, the project was conducted using watercolours.

The resulting exhibition, currently on at St James Cavalier, is curated by Cailleux.

The exhibition, which runs until May 13, is on display at Spots A and B, St James Cavalier, Valletta. For more information, visit www.kreattivita.org. For more information about the festival, visit www.viva.org.mt.
