Dozens were killed in two separate blasts in Afghanistan's Kabul on Monday, with the second explosion leaving nine journalists dead. 

In Canada, a vigil for people killed by a van driver who ploughed through pedestrians drew thousands, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. 

Meanwhile, the UK's home secretary Amber Rudd was forced to quit after admitted she misled a parliamentary committee when answering questions about an immigration scandal.
