MIA welcomes first direct flight from Nice

You can now be by the French Riviera in two hours

Holidaymakers who have been eyeing the French Riviera for a summer getaway can now make it to France's Côte d'Azur in just two hours.

The first Volotea flight between Nice and Malta landed at Malta International Airport on Thursday, marking the launch of MIA's sixteenth new route for summer.

Passengers and crew were welcomed to Malta with cake.

Volotea will be flying between MIA and Nice-Côte  d'Azur airport every Thursday throughout summer.

Nice's beaches, culture and historic centre draw an estimated four million tourists every year, with its more glamorous Riviera sisters Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco just a short distance away.
