Updated 5.30pm - Driver slightly hurt

Three people were rushed to Gozo General Hospital on Saturday morning following a car crash in Għajnsielem, police said. 

All three were riding inside an Isuzu Gemini along Mġarr Road when the driver, a 32-year-old woman from Xagħra, reportedly lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a parked Iveco truck belonging to the Civil Protection Department. 

The woman and her two male passengers - a 37-year-old man from Żurrieq and a 34-year-old from Xagħra - were all taken to hospital by ambulance.

The 34-year-old passenger was seriously injured in the crash, police said, with the driver and other passenger escaping with light injuries.
