Eddy Privitera’s dithyrambic love for his Labour Party has inevitably made him myopic to any rational argument in his never-ending epistles to this newspaper.

In his latest assertions (April 23), he takes Daphne Caruana Galizia’s family to task for withholding her laptop from the police, calling it a “flagrant lack of cooperation” with the authorities.

If he can for a moment take off his red blinkers, he would remember the Pilatus Bank sneaky removal of documents (not clothes as claimed by one of his colleagues) in the middle of the night after Daphne revealed who Egrant belonged to… while the Police Commissioner enjoyed a fenkata (rabbit meal) instead of investigating the allegation.

Privitera should know that the honest public have no trust in the police. If they allowed Pilatus Bank to whisk away any evidence, can you imagine what would happen if they got their hands on the laptop!

Even a fanatic like Privitera should be able to see the wood for the trees.
