The Serie A title race was thrown wide open last weekend after Napoli stunned Juventus at the Allianz Stadium to cut their gap to just one-point within the Bianconeri

Another intriguing weekend in Italy's top-flight is nearing as Juventus will face historic rivals Inter in the Derby d'Italia while Napoli will meet Fiorentina, the other historic rival of Massimiliano Allegri' side.

Mario Fontanella, who spent the past three seasons on the books of Floriana, started out his career at the youth teams of Napoli.

The Napoli-born Fontanella was part of Napoli Soccer, an academy launched by Aurelio De Laurentis and the 26-year old featured for them for four straight seasons.

During his years at Napoli, Fontanella had also the opportunity to train with Lorenzo Insigne, who is now one of the players spearheading Napoli towards a fantastic campaign

"He is younger than me but despite the age and his physical ability, he still managed to show glimpses of his talent and I think nowadays he is one Italy's finest," Fontanella said to timesofmalta.com.
