Luke Gambin has expressed his happiness in forming part of Luton Town, after the Hatters earned promotion to League 1, last weekend.

Gambin, who was an unused sub in their 1-1 draw away at Carlisle United on Saturday, featured 20 times in all competition, including 13 times in League 2 where he scored once, in their 7-1 rout of Stevenage, last October.

"Everyone at the club is delighted about the promotion because it has been coming for a long time," Gambin said to timesofmalta.com.

"I joined Luton Town in January of last year because I believed in their ambitions and after last season's devastation, we wanted to hit big this time around.

"I am happy to be part of the club and all of us are more than ready to get the ground running in next year's campaign."

Gambin has been a regular fixture in the latest Malta international appointments, including in the three games under the guidance of departing Malta coach Tom Saintfiet against Estonia, Luxembourg and Finland.
