Updated - A woman who had been raising money for NGO Dr Klown without the organisation knowing about her, has come forward and proved she was acting in good faith.

The NGO on Monday afternoon issued a statement to say that the woman was fraudulently collecting money door-to-door in Paola by selling red noses in support of Dr Klown, pretending to be from the NGO.

But in the evening,  Dr Klown said the unknown woman had come forward and was found to be doing the fundraising in good faith and provided proof of this.

Dr Klown said it had authorised fundraising personnel who carry an official Dr Klown tag and offer red noses at the entrance of Mater Dei Hospital, home to Dr Klown, as well as during official Dr Klown events.

Also the participants of the Miss World Malta 2018 competition are officially raising funds through red noses for Dr Klown NGO as part of their "Beauty with a Purpose" challenge.
