The winning photographs of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition organised by Heritage Malta’s National Museum of Natural History are being exhibited at Heritage Malta’s Gozo office at the Citadel, Gozo.

Photographs were submitted for three categories: flora, fauna and marine.

Apart from a winning photograph for each category, an overall winner was chosen from the 10 finalists. This competition attracted no fewer than 43 amateur photographers submitting over 340 images of flowers, birds, mammals, reptiles, fish and other animals.

Some of the photographs submitted were also reproduced on postcards and can be bought from all Heritage Malta shops.

The three winning photos and six runners-up from each category are on display at Heritage Malta’s Gozo office until April 30, from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. Entrance is free. For more information about Heritage Malta and the agency’s activities, visit website, www.heritagemalta.org.
