A barber who gave a young boy a "humiliating" haircut and then made him sweep his barbershop floor has been sent to prison for eight months.
The barber gave the 10-year-old a buzz cut with a number one razor as a punishment after he caught the boy trying to use the razor on his own.
Others sitting in the barber shop laughed as the boy first had his head shaved and then obeyed orders to sweep up hair on the floor.
But the laughs quickly died down when the child felt so humiliated that he called police.
Police charged the barber, 21, with bodily harm and prosecutors at Luton Crown Court argued that the boy had suffered "psychological and physical harm" as a result of the incident.
The barber pleaded guilty to the charges, with his lawyer saying he was "very, very sorry" for his actions.
Calling his actions "premeditated humiliation", the judge jailed the barber for eight months.
