Students at a missionary college in Rabat can now make use of a newly-built sports complex including a full-size football ground, 335m running track and volleyball and basketball courts.

The new facility at St Paul's missionary college replaces a 40-year-old gravel football ground which was showing its age.

As well as students, the football ground will host the Mdina Knights Football Club, which will use the complex as a training centre and consider the pitch its home t urf.

Alongside the sports complex is a pavilion housing dressing rooms, offices, a board room and two fitness halls. The entire complex has been designed to be accessible by people with special needs.

In a statement announcing the project's completion, college rector Silvio Bezzina thanked the college community for its support, the Missionary Society of St Paul for their investment and everyone who had worked to turn the college's sports dream into a reality.
