Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education is pleased to be participating in the Malta Robotics Olympiad 2018 which will be held at the MFCC Ta’ Qali between today and Sunday.

The institute has been participating since the inception of this technology festival and this year no less than six exhibits will be on the stand under the theme #StartMyInspiration.

Members of the academic staff, students and visitors will be able to experience virtual reality systems, 360-degree filming, an audio carpet, a robot that is able to paint and sensors on a motorbike that will provide immediate GPS positioning to emergency services if involved in an accident.

A number of computer games will also be available for play, each designed and developed by students following their undergraduate studies at Saint Martin’s Institute of Higher Education.

More details of the science behind the exhibits is available via a #StartMyInspiration blog on www. stmartins. edu. The exhibits have been set up with the assistance of Heritage Malta, Muscats Motors Ltd, BLOC, Sound Machine and Dfab.studios.
