By the time this letter is published, the bombings in Syria by the US, Britain and France will have already flattened their targets. But will they make any difference? Last year, the US fired more than 50 cruise missiles at Syrian air bases. Did the situation improve?

I back Germany for not joining the Allies in bombing Syria because the country will not become any safer. We can only expect more refugees heading to Europe by the havoc the bombings caused. If Bashar Al Assad is removed, Syria will become another Iraq. It is the rebels who must be blamed for the state Syria is in today.
