Almost 4 per cent of bus trips to a number of routes specified by MP Toni Bezzina were cancelled on one particular day.

He asked a parliamentary question about routes to the south, Rabat, Dingli and Mtarfa, and Żebbuġ, and about operations on just one day: Thursday March 1.

Transport Minister Ian Borg replied that only 717 out of 746 scheduled trips to Valletta operated on that day, and 83 – 11 per cent – of them were late.

On that same day, 683 out of the scheduled 709 from Valletta operated and 10 per cent of these – 72 – were late.

Out of the 22 routes from Valletta, only eight delivered all the scheduled trips, and out of the 21 to Valletta, only two managed to get all the trips done.
