The Victoria Scout Group organised a four-day camp at Dwejra during Eastertime. Around 80 members of the four sections within the group – Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venture Scouts and Rovers – attended the camp. Each section followed its programme. Activities included cookouts, incident courses, trekking hikes, nature hikes, a clean-up of the area, various games and badgework. The campers welcomed a group of students from the Victoria Primary School who joined the Cub Scout Packs and participated in their activities. The Venture Unit and the Rover Crew, in collaboration with the Nadur YEP 18, conducted a fundraising abseiling activity in aid of Fr Raymond Portelli’s mission in Peru. The widow of Anton Falzon, a former scout with the Nadur group in the 1940s, presented a flag belonging to the group to scout leader Lorrie Saliba.
