Twenty-two students from seven secondary schools who performed best at the Malta Junior Science Olympiad have been rewarded by being given the opportunity to work during the summer as interns with researchers at the University of Malta in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, astrophysics astronomy, geosciences, maths and statistics. This is the second edition of the Go4research student internship programme, which is aimed at fostering students’ sense of discovery and curiosity in science. It is organised by the University’s Faculty of Science in collaboration with the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes (DLAP) and the Education Ministry and the support of the US Embassy.
