Around 1,000 fans of vlogger Nas answered his request to show up in Valletta to drum up support for his "Oh My Malta" rally call.

The viral Palestinian/Israeli vlogger urged his followers to show up to the Tritons' Square to call out 'Oh My Malta' which he believes should be the official Maltese tourism slogan.

Scores of foreigners joined hundreds of Maltese fans for the event, co-organised by the Malta Tourism Authority, which also featured live music.

Nas, who has been producing videos from Malta for more than a week together with his team, is hailed as one of the most influential vloggers in the world through his videos Nas Daily and he is determined to leave his mark on an island he says he got to love.

The 26-year-old has more than 5.7 million followers on Facebook.
