Michael Laus will this evening perform a piano recital of works by Haydn, Schubert and Beethoven at the Manoel Theatre today.

Laus is one of Malta’s most celebrated musicians both as a pianist and conductor. Since graduating in piano, harpsichord and composition at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi of Milan in 1982, he has had a remarkable career as the principal conductor of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra for 25 years and is now its resident conductor.

Tonight’s programme includes Haydn’s Andante with Variations in F minor, Hob. 17/6, Schubert’s Four Impromptus, D.899 and Beethoven’s Sonata in A flat major, Op.110 and Sonata in F minor, Op. 57 ‘Appassionata’.
