JJ Redick led five players in double figures with a team-high 18 points as the Philadelphia 76ers became a 50-game winner for the first time in 17 years with a 109-97 victory Sunday afternoon over the visiting Dallas Mavericks.
The win allowed the 76ers (50-30) to lower their magic number to clinch the third seed in the Eastern to two over the Cleveland Cavaliers (49-31) with two games remaining.
The 76ers finish the regular season Tuesday at Atlanta and Wednesday at home against Milwaukee. The Cavaliers wrap up with a home-and-home series Monday and Wednesday against New York.
Philadelphia, which won just 10 games two seasons ago, hadn't won 50 games in a season since going 56-26 in 2001.
Jazz 112, Lakers 97
Donovan Mitchell scored 28 points, collected nine rebounds and dished out eight assists to help Utah Jazz clinch a playoff spot by beating host Los Angeles.
Utah (47-33) trails the Portland Trail Blazers (48-32) by a game for the Western Conference's third seed. The Jazz are one game in front of the New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, all 46-34.
Josh Hart scored 25 points to lead Los Angeles. Tyler Ennis added 22 points while Julius Randle chipped in 17. The Lakers got swept 3-0 in the season series with the Jazz and have lost seven straight to Utah overall.
Raptors 112, Magic 101
CJ Miles and OG Anunoby combined to hit 10 of Toronto's 17 3-pointers, and the Raptors beat visiting Orlando in their final home game. Toronto finished 34-7 at Air Canada Centre.
Miles scored 22 points, and Anunoby tied his season-high with 21 points for Toronto, which has won three in a row. Miles and Anunoby each hit five 3-pointers.
The Raptors will be back home in the playoffs. Toronto has clinched the No. 1 seed and home-court advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs for the first time in franchise history. With two games remaining, the Raptors (58-22) stretched their franchise record for wins, putting more distance on the 56 they won in 2015-16.
Hawks 112, Celtics 106
Dewayne Dedmon had five points in the final 91 seconds to help lift Atlanta to a win over host Boston.
Taurean Prince had 33 points and Damion Lee added 14 points to lead the Hawks, who won their second straight game.
Jayson Tatum had 19 points to lead the Celtics, who fell for just the third time in their past 10 games despite the loss of Kyrie Irving for the season.
Warriors 117, Suns 100
Klay Thompson led six Warriors in double figures with a game-high 34 points Sunday night as Golden State snapped a two-game losing streak with a victory at Phoenix.
The Warriors, who have clinched the No. 2 seed for the Western Conference playoff, used two hoops, including a 3-pointer, by Draymond Green in a 14-5 run to open the second quarter and distance themselves from the Suns. Golden State wound up with its 15th consecutive victory over Phoenix.
Danuel House Jr. had 22 points to pace the Suns, who clinched the worst record in the NBA with a 61st loss.
Pacers 123, Hornets 117
Domantas Sabonis scored a career-high 30 points and Victor Oladipo finished with 27 as Indiana held on for a victory at Charlotte.
Oladipo hit 12 of 15 shots and 3 of 4 from outside, but he missed his only two free throws of the game as the Hornets made their final push. Sabonis made 13 of 21 shots and added eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Hornets were led by 22 points off the bench from Malik Monk, who was also instrumental in the late rally. Marvin Williams finished with 16 points and Dwight Howard had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, but All-Star Kemba Walker tallied just 12 points.
Grizzlies 130, Pistons 117
MarShon Brooks came off of the bench to lead all scorers with 25 points, help Memphis beat visiting Detroit in a game featuring two teams outside of playoff contention.
The Grizzlies, who snapped a four-game losing streak and won for the first time in April, recorded their highest point total of the season. Dillon Brooks had 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Marc Gasol just missed out on a triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
Anthony Tolliver led the Pistons with 19 points while Andre Drummond added 12 points and 18 boards.
