Gozo's picturesque Tal-Mixta area is a hive of activity with preparations in full swing as French DJ Fakear starts his live performance from within the uniquely positioned cave overlooking the iconic Ramla l-Ħamra.

Millions of viewers are expected to tune in to the live stream, which is being broadcast in real time by French electronic music platform Cercle.

Cercle is synonymous with these Monday evening broadcasts, which invariably feature a French musician playing from spectacular landmarks around the world. No audience is physically present during the performance, and the music is broadcast solely online.

The event will allow the 480K Cercle Facebook followers to discover this natural attraction on the island of Gozo.

Cercle decided to come to Malta for one of their broadcasts after they were approached by Maltese events-organiser Franco Vella, the brains behind the highly-popular Blank events.

Mr Vella himself, whose events attract a sizeable portion of foreign party goers, is known picking original locations that showcase our islands' natural beauty.

"I felt that Cercle and Blank have something in common, so why not explore it and promote the island within the electronic music industry in an international level?" he told this paper.

The proposal was welcomed by Cercle and, after consultation with the Malta Tourism Authority, a venue was finalised. The broadcast from Tal-Mixta cave kicks off at 6pm local time and can be accessed via Cercle's Facebook page.
