On March 16, members of the press and Camilleri Group’s staff, clientele and guests were invited to the new store opening party for Matalan in Republic Street, Valletta.

The latest additions to the Matalan outlets in Malta are located in Valletta and at the Smart Shopping Complex in Birkirkara.

The brand, which brings affordable fashion for both the family and home, operates 227 stores throughout the UK and 29 international stores. We have had an overwhelming response to the Matalan brand in Malta

Matalan provides everything under one roof, from affordable fashion for the whole family to stylish homewares. Camilleri Group, which incorporates leading fashion retail brands, confectionery and catering, is the local representative of the brand.

Matalan’s international director Damian Hopkins was present on the night to inaugurate the new stores, together with Anthony Camilleri, CEO of Camilleri Group of Companies.

Mr Hopkins said: “I am thrilled to be back in Malta to be opening two new stores here with Camilleri Group. Our first stores were opened exactly a year ago and these have been a great success. I am personally a big fan of Malta and I’m delighted that Matalan will now have a store in the stunning historical city of Valletta; we know our value family fashion and homewares will be a big hit with both the locals and tourists.”

Mr Camilleri said: “We have had an overwhelming response to the Matalan brand in Malta, with our outlets in Sliema and Fgura proving that the Maltese simply love Matalan. Our two new stores in Birkirkara and Valletta will continue to provide customers with great value products and fashionable styles for all the family, not to mention the vast selection of homewares.”
