ATTARD. On April 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, GERALDU of Qormi, residing in Rabat, ex Museum member, aged 86, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters and brother, Annie, Rina, Salvina, Joe and his wife Marlene and Connie and her husband Maurice his nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, other relatives and friends including the members of the Museum Society. The funeral leaves mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, April 7 at 8am to St Paul’s Collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Qormi Cemetery. CAMILLERI. On April 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 43, passed away peacefully comfor­ted by rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margaret, his daughters Madelaine and Estelle, his parents Maria and Anthony, his grand­mother Josephine Camilleri, his brothers Mark and his wife Dolores Gatt Baldacchino, Andrew and his wife Bettina Calleja, his in-laws, uncles and aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, April 6, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. COLEIRO. On April 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, CLAIRE, of Rabat, aged 44, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Kurt, her husband Clive, her mother Phyllis and father John Coleiro, her sister Lisa and her husband Lawrence Parnis, her mother-in-law Lina, widow of Noel Tonna, her sisters-in-law Louise and her husband Chris Attard, Doriana and her husband Roderick Cristina, her nieces Thea, Gaby and Giulia, other relatives and friends. DIMECH. On April 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, Mro ALFRED of Gżira, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, née Bartolo, his children Raymond and his wife Carmen, Graziella and her husband Anthony Gatt, Mario and his wife Lorraine, his grandchildren Caroline, Claire, Christian, Monique and Matthew, his sisters and their families, nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. On March 31, MARIA PIA, née Borg Cherubino, aged 77, passed away peacefully to eternal life to meet with her husband Ronnie, who passed away only two months ago, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved sons Ivan and his partner Sonia Oussaid, Mark and his wife Samantha née Turner, Matthew and his wife Amanda née Cauchi, her sister Anna Orr née Borg Cherubino, her brothers-in-law Norman and his wife Anna née Pace, Derek and his wife Maria née Sansone, her grandchildren Michela, Annabel, Beatrice, Brooke, Luke and Sofia-Pia, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves The Hilltop Gardens, Naxxar tomorrow, Friday, April 6, at 9.30am for the Chapel of Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am followed by interment. ZARB – MARK. Today being the 20th anniversary of his passing to eternal life. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by his father John, his brothers Martin and Michael, all his family and friends. A Mass will be said on Saturday, April 7 at 7pm at Nazzarenu parish church, Sliema, which will be offered for the repose of his soul. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. Amen.

Attard bazaar

The annual Attard Parish Church bazaar will be held on the weekend of May 5 and 6 at the parish centre.

Several items, including books, household items, furniture, bric-a-brac, plants, toys, stationery, Maltese honey, old coins and medals, will be available at reasonable prices.

Also on view on the occasion will be the World War II shelter that lies beneath the parish centre.

Missionary work

A bazaar in aid of the missionary work of the Sisters of Charity will be held between April 13 and 19 at the Santa Giovanna Antida, School, Gudja.

Among the items on sale will be new and second-hand clothes and shoes, books and plants.

The opening times will be 8.30am to noon and 4 to 6pm.

Prayer meeting

A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations will be held on April 14 at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun.

The prayer meeting starts at 9pm with Mass followed by adoration which comes to a close at around 11pm.
