The Malta Stock Exchange has appointed Charmaine Baldacchino to its executive ranks as the Exchange’s new chief financial officer.

Ms Baldacchino began her career within the financial services industry in 1997 with one of the Big Four accounting firms KPMG, and worked her way up to the level of director within the Audit Department.

She also worked as senior manager within the Authorisations Unit at the Malta Financial Services Authority where she was responsible for the licensing process of securities- and markets-related businesses. She later moved on to join Alter Domus Malta as a senior manager responsible for managing a number of client relationships.

Joe Portelli, Malta Stock Exchange chairman, said he was thrilled the Malta Stock Exchange has attracted someone of Ms Baldacchino’s calibre and is confident she will have a long and productive career at the Exchange.
