A 95-year-old man from Rabat succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday a few hours after the car in which he was a passenger crashed into a tree.

The car was being driven by a 70-year-old woman from Rabat, and her condition is not yet known.

The accident occurred at 4.15pm on Triq Valletta in Attard, police said.
