A man who stole €3,000 from the Rabat PN club plead guilty and was held under arrest earlier Friday morning.

The man’s name was withheld after he told the court that his five children were being bullied in school when he had been previously brought in front of the court.

Inspector Joseph Mercieca told the court that a video of the man was doing the rounds on social media.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty and was kept in custody until a pre-sentencing report could be drawn up.

The man was also found to have breached his bail conditions and for not informing the court that his ID card was no longer valid.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit presided over the court.

Lawyer Josette Sultana was legal aid to the accused.
