Spazju Kreattiv is showing encores of Semiramide, as part of the Met Opera in Cinema 2017/2018 programme, today and on Sunday, April 22.

This masterpiece makes a rare Met appearance – its first in nearly 25 years – with Maurizio Benini on the podium.

The all-star bel canto cast features Angela Meade in the title role of the murderous Queen of Babylon, who squares off in breathtaking duets with Arsace, a trouser role sung by Elizabeth DeShong.

Encore performances of Semiramide will be held today at 7pm and on April 22 at 2.30pm at St James Cavalier, Valletta. The performance will be held in Italian, with English subtitles. For more information, call 2122 3200 or visit http://kreattivita.org .
